Let me start off by saying I haven’t had a cup of coffee for over 3 years. I used to be obsessed with coffee, I would be the person that went to starbucks every morning and got a venti quad macchiato and then drank coffee later in the day. Long story short a (way too big) coffee obsession turned into severe adrenal fatigue, I’m guessing that was the worlds way of telling me “SLOW DOWN” on the caffeine. Obviously stress and other things contributed to weakening my adrenals, like toxic overload from using toxic makeup (read about what makeup and skincare/haircare I use now and WHY I love it so much HERE!) and the years of being around heavily toxic chemicals while I was a hairstylist. Though my love for coffee never slowed down, I just rode the coat tails of others, dreamed of these 3 ingredient mocha frappuccino popsicles, lived off of the fumes of hot brewed coffee and I occasionally snuck in some chocolate covered espresso beans on the days I felt really good.
BUT, now that I’ve spent the last few years intensively caring for my adrenals and healing my body from chemical sensitivities I can indulge in coffee! So what’s the best thing I can think of to ease back in? These 3 Ingredient Mocha Frappuccino POPSICLES loaded with mini chocolate chips!!
Let’s not forget the importance of finding a high quality coffee to drink as well! Did you know that when you have jitters and get sweaty from coffee that it’s not a reaction to the caffeine rather a reaction to MOLD that’s in the coffee? Sounds kind of scary doesn’t it? Drinking moldy coffee doesn’t sound very good. That’s why it’s so important to find brands like this cold brew or this one that will actually benefit your body not harm it.
Let’s talk about these 3 Ingredient Mocha Frappuccino Popsicles though! After not having any caffeine for this many years you could say I was REALLY excited to eat these popsicles! So when it was time for them to come out of the freezer I tasted one and fell in love, then quickly shoveled the whole thing in my face completely disregarding my brain freeze and soaked in my coffee heaven. Can you guess what happened?
SO. MUCH. ENERGY. I started dancing and laughing and telling stories faster than I could think and realized oh my gosh I haven’t felt this feeling in forever! Although it was a million times better because I had no shaky feelings or exhaustion. Plus it was a popsicle, and that needs no more convincing.
I also added a little glaze on top after they were frozen but that’s completely optional since that makes this recipe more than 3 ingredients (oops) but it’s kind of fun having an extra little crunch in there! I used cold brew but obviously you can just brew coffee the old fashion way and let it cool completely before using it in this recipe!

- 1 container cocowhip or your favorite whipped cream
- 3 tbsp enjoy life mini chocolate chips
- 12 oz. cold brew coffee
- 3 tbsp coconut oil, melted
- 3 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 tbsp honey
- In a large bowl whisk together whipped cream and cold brew coffee until smooth
- Pour mixture into popsicle molds and freeze for 1 hour
- After 1 hour place popsicle sticks into each popsicle and place back into the freezer to freeze for 5 additional hours or overnight
- To remove popsicles run outside of mold under cool water for 10 seconds
- Mix melted coconut oil, cocoa powder and honey in a small bowl until completely smooth
- Drizzle over frozen popsicles
- Store popsicles in an airtight container or freezer bag
